Junior Quality Assurance Technician

  • Junior Quality Assurance Technician

    A new vacancy has arisen for a Junior Quality Assurance Technician. This is a fantastic position for someone looking to get into the world of Quality Assurance/ Engineering as there will be lots of training and development!  This is a hands-on role where you will learn to be responsible for ensuring the quality of products produced and that the materials received from suppliers meets customers’ expectations and acting effectively when non-conformities are found.

    In this role full training will be provided and in time you will be responsible for the following:

    • Maintaining the company’s quality procedures, standards and specifications.
    • Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met, especially with regard to complaints / issues.
    • Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
    • Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards e.g. ISO / LNE
    • Looking at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
    • Processing and reviewing all warranty issues and returns.
    • Monitoring performance by auditing and gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports for QA / H&S / Environment.
    • Using relevant quality tools facilitate managers and other staff to improve the business.

    To be considered for the role we are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to get into the world of Engineering or Quality Assurance. In addition to that, any of the following would be a good start:

    • Any experience working within an Engineering/Manufacturing or Production environment – this includes a work experience placement!
    • A manufacturing or engineering qualification, for example NVQ Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations or NVQ level 2-3 in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
    • Organised with good attention to detail
    • Good verbal and written communications.
    • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
    • Good IT skills, including Microsoft office, word and excel.

    This is a permanent/ full time position, starting salary is NLW with increases in line with development and training and has the added benefit of 35 days holiday, pension, health and wellbeing scheme and an annual performance related bonus scheme.

Marketing Executive

  • Marketing Executive

    We have a great opportunity for an experienced Marketing Executive to join our team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager you will support the implementation of marketing plans and activities for PCL worldwide and the TECALEMIT brand in the UK.

    The successful candidate will have a creative flair and possess a strong visual sense. Great computer and IT skills including Adobe Creative Suite, along with an understanding of SEO techniques and running Social Media channels is essential.

    You will have proven track record of working in a marketing communications role, be a demonstrable self-motivator and have experience at successfully delivering against challenging goals and targets.

    3rd party marketing experience is desirable.

Production Operatives

    We have a number of opportunities to work in our fast paced factory assembling and testing our products to a high standard. Successful candidates will have a proven track record working as part of a team in a production environment, be highly dexterous, efficient and motivated to achieve targets, have the ability to follow standard operating procedures and a high regard for quality and health and safety.

    This is a day’s role with an early finish on a Friday; following an initial trial period the pay rate is above NLW and has the added benefit of 35 days holiday, pension, health and wellbeing scheme and an annual performance related bonus scheme.
