Quality Assurance Technician


This is a new role, reporting to the SHEQ manager, with the main purpose of performing a variety of quality assurance tasks to ensure the Companies products and services meet industry and government standards, using lean methodologies, SPC and six sigma techniques.


This role involves:
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, engineers and production to address non-conformances, concerns and complaints.
  • Leading problem resolution, determining root cause analysis, ensuring effective corrective and/or preventative action. Preparation of 8D reports and feedback to customers.
  • Performing internal audits, recommend process improvements and monitor results to drive high standards.
  • Performing quality inspections as and when required for initial samples, production components, inventory and finished goods.
  • Reviewing returned PCL products for acceptance or rejection of warranty claims, identifying trends and correctives actions.
  • Report writing for all stakeholders.
  • Planning and managing the calibration status of all internal measuring and test equipment.
  • Supporting other quality functions as and when required.


You may be the right person if you:
  • Have experience of working in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing/engineering environment (experience in auto-motive industry and/or tyre inflation products advantageous).
  • Can demonstrate use of Lean, SPC and Six Sigma techniques.
  • Have experience of writing reports, quality and process documentation, including 8D reports.
  • Capable of reading engineering drawings
  • Capable of accurately use measuring equipment.
  • Are a strong communicator with experience of working with customers, both internally and externally.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines in timely manner.
