Why Tyre Checks matter?
Many people feel overwhelmed by vehicle maintenance - according to TyreSafe, 71% say it causes more worry than relationship issues. Yet only 46% of drivers check tyre pressures monthly, potentially leaving millions of tyres on UK roads illegal.
Tyre checks are quick and simple - here’s why they’re important:
No.1 Tyre Safety
Keep tyres at the correct pressure and tread depth to stay safe. Good tyres improve grip and handling - replace before tread falls below 2mm.
No.2 Reduce CO2 Emissions
Maintaining the correct tyre pressure with accurate equipment improves efficiency and lowers CO₂ emissions.
No.3 It's the law
For cars, vans, and LCVs, the minimum legal tread depth is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre and around the entire circumference. Driving below this limit can cost £2,500 per tyre plus three licence points.
No.4 Reduce Costs
