New digital unit suitable for all balls and sizes

PCL, the world leader in inflation devices, has announced the launch of its new Sports Ball Inflation Station - the latest in innovation for professional and time-saving ball inflation.

Initially developed for an international designer and manufacturer of sports gear, the self-contained digital inflation unit automates the inflation of sports balls quickly, safely and in large volumes.

The mobile cart can service up to four balls at once via an on-board air supply, and can be moved around with ease. Since there is no need for a separate air source, users can simply plug and go.

The unit comes with a high spec built-in pump to allow super-fast inflation - for example 4 x Size 6 basketballs in 43 seconds - to a calibrated accuracy, with certificate supplied.

Designed for the accurate inflation of ‘low’ volume (size 1 to 3) and larger volume (size 4 to 7) balls, a built-in safety net prevents issues arising from any unidentified ball deficiencies that may exist prior to inflation.

The housing features 4 small hose outlets to needle valve output which can be operated independently, enabling the user to inflate 1, 2, 3 or 4 balls at once.

The metal enclosure and robust wheel assembly with brake provide safe storage and easy movement and locating. Touch screen buttons and a clear LCD screen allow easy reading and simple operation.

PCL’s expertise in manufacturing advanced equipment for a wide range of markets, from automotive to aviation, has resulted in a trail-blazing solution for sports retailers, sports clubs and organisations using multiple balls that regularly need inflating.

Business Development Manager, Olly Shortland, said: “Our new Sports Ball Inflation Station incorporates a high spec ‘forecourt style’ compressed air pump, which is designed for continuous use in demanding environments. Automation of the process with auto shut-off allows users to do another job while inflating balls, saving significant labour time and cost. In addition, it’s simple to use and maintain, and runs off a standard 230v single phase electricity supply 3 pin plug.

“We are proud to have created this ground-breaking new ball inflation solution for one of the biggest brands in the business, and delighted that its general release now promises to be a game-changer for the sports industry as a whole.”
